Here at CollegeStack our goal is to not only keep college students informed on topics that matter, but to save you as much money as possible. We saw it fitting to publish our five money saving tips for all college students.

1. Coupons – Probably the single most important tool for a college student to take advantage of. Coupons allow us to go out to eat with friends, try new things, go to new bars, and save money all at the same time. Do a google search for coupons around your campus, and if you’re really smart you’ll download the CollegeStack Free Coupon App. (Browse our coupons here)
2. Car Pools – Gas prices only go one way….UP. Ride to school with a friend, take the shuttle or ride a bike. Do whatever you possibly can to minimize your driving when you’re in college and you can really maximize your budget. Bonus tip: On-campus jobs often require no driving whatsoever.
3. Research Bar Specials – Going out costs money. This being said if you’re smart about it you can save tons of money over the course of a semester just by figuring out which bars have the best specials on which nights. Our campus guide is extremely helpful if you’re a UCF student.
4. Rent Books – Do not buy your books. We highly suggest renting your books on amazon. Cheaper price, quick delivery and easy return at the end of the semester.
5. Use resources on campus – The best way to save money on campus is to take advantage of whatever your school offers you as a student. Free printing, free scantrons, free tutoring, free food, and free on-campus events are a few that we can list right off the top of our heads. It may take a little digging around but most campus involvement meetings and school sponsored events serve some kind of food. Take advantage.
