2. Car Pools – Gas prices only go one way….UP. Ride to school with a friend, take the shuttle or ride a bike. Do whatever you possibly can to minimize your driving when you’re in college and you can really maximize your budget. Bonus tip: On-campus jobs often require no driving whatsoever.
3. Research Bar Specials – Going out costs money. This being said if you’re smart about it you can save tons of money over the course of a semester just by figuring out which bars have the best specials on which nights. Our campus guide is extremely helpful if you’re a UCF student.
4. Rent Books – Do not buy your books. We highly suggest renting your books on amazon. Cheaper price, quick delivery and easy return at the end of the semester.
5. Use resources on campus – The best way to save money on campus is to take advantage of whatever your school offers you as a student. Free printing, free scantrons, free tutoring, free food, and free on-campus events are a few that we can list right off the top of our heads. It may take a little digging around but most campus involvement meetings and school sponsored events serve some kind of food. Take advantage.
